11th Blog Entry

It's nearly Christmas and we finish on Wednesday woo! Last week wasn't very effective, i did some work but not a lot, in the new year i am hoping to change my ways and become a more effective worker, Merry Christmas to whoever reads this :D

10th Blog Entry

Last week was a big struggle for me, i didn't get a whole lot of work done in any unit and did the bare minimum in each lesson. In programming we had to write a document comparing programming languages and this didn't get completed, in spreadsheets we just had to correct some work. Other units were similar and not a lot got completed by me. In the last 2 weeks of term i hope to start doing more work and try to understand it more, in programming i need to learn more code, when making programs i struggle to remember any code.
Everybody has started to play a game called gravity master, this has become a distraction to most of the class.

Week 9

Today is the first of December and it is absolutely freezing outside! In College last week I personally don't think i learnt a lot all i did was catch up on old work, hopefully this week will be more productive and i hope to get more work done this week than any other!

Week 8

With peter today we were being videoed on barriers to communication, me tom and tom knew a lot about this, so we decided to make it a bit fun, we each Had 2 words we had to fit into the video, i had cheese and brown sauce and i managed to get them both in, both toms failed miserably, the interview went well. In other subjects last week i found quite difficult, especially programming as i don't have a clue what to do in it. In other news mohekan tom came back in college after faking a week of with a 'broken' foot.

Week 7

This week we started a lot of new work in different units, in spreadsheets we made a macro to add data into different tables and we also made some charts to show the yearly and month totals in expenditure. In programming we attempted to make a program that shows your yearly income and taxes e.c.t. this didn't go all to plan and hardly any coding got completed. Networking was a hard to task to do, we had to take loads of notes down then basically wrote out these notes, unfortunately a few people didn't take notes and didn't know what was needed to be done. In other units the majority of the work was completed. Farmer Tom keeps biting his tongue the idiot, and mohekan Tom keeps dressing like an idiot.

Week 6

This week i hope to work better than previous weeks. The reason for this is so that i don't get caught behind on any work we get given. last week in programming we started off the basics to a game of pong, we managed to get a ball bouncing left and right of the screen. For the rest of the units we were still catching up on unfinished work for previous weeks.

Week 5

During the course i have enjoyed loads of different units, my favourite unit so far would be programming, we each made out own calculator i am very proud of this! the units i struggle with so far are databases and spreadsheets.

Blog Number 4

This week is consolidation week, this gives us a chance to complete all unfinished work to get back on track. I think i 'm going to get all the work in on time.

Blog Number 3

Today we had to do some barriers to communication thing, didn't really understand what we had to do but i still had a go. In programming we started to do a bit of coding, we made a simple program when you type you name in a message will show up saying "hello Adam", this was the first program we made so i found it extremely interesting!

Blog number 2

Today we was learning what employers want with their staff in the workplace, we also received task 2 unit 1 it is an 800 word report on what employers want and it is due in 2 weeks. I am finding all of the other units interesting, but finding it hard to get my head round them

My name is Adam Roscoe and i am currently on the National Diploma IT level 3 course at Hyde Clarendon Sixth Form College, this is the third week in college now and so far i am finding it easy.
